Z O Matics - the original web loop creating protocolThousands of daily loops, grooves, songs, ... made using basses and miscellaneous side orders from 1994 on and beyond. A simple protocol mixing analog elements to digital and back to analog and finally online via RSS feeds and web apps, and more... As a trained bassist, this is the project that put the site at the spotlight in its time (check the press section), opening my path for experimental online musical creation (yay!).From the original structured online data a realtime RAVE generative AI model has been trained and available through the IRCAM website. ZOM Grooves 1996 364 grooves for each day of the year almost - the original bass loops of the Internet from the early days - the original 11kHz mono supreme sounds (haha when kilobytes where huge)! Play, pause and stop as you will to loop one of them randomly, reload the page to check a new one! Catch me if you want to use some for a project of yours yay! ZOM Songs 1997 One song a day as an experiment in online composition, distributed on a custom platform, with a complete production methodology, for a whole year - the root of the BootyMachine experiment and of the Loopr software of the next century. Infinite Slop 2025 To celebrate the 30 years of the start of the project zzz.ch, the original ZOM grooves were fed into AI and finely curated to 1 hour random montly mixtapes called Infinite Slop. Every month, a few will be randomly picked from the first page of the website and reinterpreted using these new tools and integrated as a podcast, then separate tracks on all major streaming platforms, and physical media. In the meantime.. made for and with Loopr live jam recording.. |
